Abrasive manufacturer Norton|Saint-Gobain Abrasives (Worchester, MA, USA) has introduced more than a dozen new compounds and wool pads in its Farécla polishing compound and surface treatment product line. The company pointed out that this expanded production line is said to be an ideal choice for a range of industrial markets and has achieved extraordinary success in marine and composite applications. It includes cutting, polishing and finishing compounds, as well as application accessories designed to improve the gloss of painted surfaces, gel coats and wood lacquers.

In addition to eliminating a few process steps, Norton | Saint-Gobain Abrasives Product Manager Craig Chaffee said that the Farécla series is water-based, and because the cleaning requirements are not so demanding, its application pads have a longer service life.

For gel coats or painted surfaces, the company offers a new Profile Premium liquid compound for removing P1200 and finer sanding marks. Profile Premium Coarse Cut Paste has been added to the production line for gel coat surfaces, which can remove sanding marks up to P800 while maintaining high gloss.

For the "liquid sandpaper" solution, the extended Farécla series now includes Profile Extra Coarse Cut Paste, which is specifically designed for strong lamination on tough resins and gel coats, which can remove up to P600 sanding marks and leave a slight gloss . Profile Extra Coarse Cut Paste is suitable for stone, granite and other solid surfaces. The new Profile 300 Rapid Cut Compound is said to be a versatile, mid-range, high-gloss compound that can remove dry wear marks on P1000-P1200 and restore the gloss and color of almost all gel or varnished surfaces.

In protecting the surface, Norton|Saint-Gobain Abrasives stated that the new Profile Rapid Detailer & Wax is a fast liquid spray that can be used to obtain a "freshly waxed" appearance or for quick cleaning, leaving high gloss. The company added that it will not remove previously used polishes or waxes, which provide continuous protection. In addition, the new Profile Polymer UV wax has a sprayable formula, which is very useful when working on large surfaces such as ships, trucks, trucks, and airplanes. The new wax has high gloss and even transparency on dark surfaces. It is said to be very durable, and the protective coating it produces can repel many common pollutants and is waterproof.

New wool support pads are also available, which are part of the complete supplementary pad supplement series, including dimples and waffle configurations. In order to improve the tailoring of certain composites, the Farécla series now has an 8-inch American premium composite wool pad and three 8-inch G-Mop polished wool pads, using lamb wool, double-sided wool and single-sided red waffle types. The Farécla series also includes 3-inch and 8-inch foam pads.
